All the way back to Eve
Nearly dead center in the state of Nevada lies a former mining town of Austin. This is where Beryl Georgia Hocking was born on the 25th of April 1897. She and her older sister, Ruth, lived there until 1905 when they're parents divorced and moved to their maternal Grandparent's home in Salt Lake City.
On May 8, 1919, in Ogden, Utah, she married Victor Hugo Taylor (1891-1966). They had four children, Ruth (1920-1986), Edward Calvin (1923-2017), Richard Hugo (1927-1975) and David Gene (1938-2000). They worked a farm in the 1920's in central Salt Lake City. They lived along Holliday Blvd, in Holliday, in 1930 and by 1940 had moved to the farm that this writer remembers from his childhood along Wasach Blvd on the slope of Mt Olympus. She died on August 28, 1940, age 43, from chronic nephritis and hypertention.
